A striking formation of apophyllite 'gems' blossom from an exceptionally well formed bed of ocean-blue chalcedony stalactites, which are highly unusual and therefore very desirable. The apophyllite crystals central to the piece somewhat remind of a mother and child, or of a baby in the womb, so we have named her accordingly - madonna, after the Latinate for the Virgin Mary, or an idealised, glorious woman.
Traditionally, it is said that apophyllite releases old emotional trauma and energy blockages that occurred in childhood years. It is therefore an incredibly therapeutic crystal as it allegedly facilitates the unburdening of the emotional self, which is cathartic, healing and liberating.
